Richard “Harley” Smith – CEO
Richard “Harley” Smith is a leader in healthcare management who’s known for his innovative approach to running hospitals and nursing homes. He’s earned a reputation for success, especially in recruiting top-notch physicians, nurturing medical staff, and rallying diverse teams to excel in patient care and financial goals. His knack for strategy shines through in his ability to secure new business opportunities and improve processes to raise the bar for patient care.
His educational background speaks to his expertise: a Master’s in Business Administration in Healthcare Management from the University of Phoenix, complemented by a Master’s in Human Resource Management from Golden Gate University. His Bachelor’s in Health & Physical Education from Coker College underscores his holistic understanding of wellness, while his Associates in Radiology from George Washington University reflects his commitment to staying updated on medical technologies.
Outside of work, Harley is passionate about golf and fishing. Golfing offers him a chance to unwind and focus solely on the game, while fishing provides a peaceful escape into nature, allowing him to connect with the elements and find tranquility in the rhythm of the water.
Lauren Blevins – DON
Lauren Blevins is a dedicated Registered Nurse currently pursuing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Phoenix. She began her healthcare journey at Ozarka College, where she earned her CNA, LPN, and RN credentials. Her career started in long-term care, where she developed a strong foundation in patient-centered practice.
In December 2024, Lauren joined IRH as an ER nurse, serving in that role until May 2025, when she transitioned into her current position as Director of Nursing. In this leadership role, she is working to strengthen clinical operations and grow the hospital’s swing bed program to better meet the needs of the community.
Raised in Heber Springs on her family’s cattle farm, Lauren moved to the area after marrying her husband. Together, they operate their own cattle farm and remain deeply rooted in rural traditions. She is passionate about exceptional patient care, community connection, and expanding healthcare services in the region. Outside of work, she enjoys hunting, working outdoors, and embracing the agricultural lifestyle she grew up with.
Ethan Johnson – Human Resources
Ethan Johnson is a rising professional in human resources with a strong background in business and people management. He brings four years of HR internship experience and nearly a year as a generalist at a rural hospital, where he has focused on streamlining processes, supporting staff, and strengthening workplace culture. Known for balancing compliance with compassion, he’s committed to building teams that thrive and driving organizational success.
He holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Arkansas Tech University, where he gained knowledge in management, finance, and organizational behavior. Combined with hands-on HR experience, his education has equipped him to handle recruiting, onboarding, compliance, and employee engagement, while preparing him for continued growth in the HR field.
Outside of work, Ethan enjoys hunting, horseback riding, running, and exercise. These pursuits connect him with the outdoors while giving him discipline and balance, fueling the energy he brings to both his career and personal life.
